Sending Love to Tulum

Last night I wrote a post about what is now one of my absolute favorite locations in the world – Tulum, Mexico.  I was specifically writing about the boutique, eco-friendly hotels that line this beautiful paradise.  I come to find out this morning that the Mexican government has seized more than a dozen different boutique hotel properties in Tulum in a dispute over land and regulations.  Federal government officials, accompanied by the military, came to Tulum and ‘forcefully evacuated’ hotel guests at number of hotels and put up closed signs.  More details on what’s happening here, but needless to say, it didn’t feel like the right time for my original post.  I truly hope this dispute is settled soon for the sake of this peaceful paradise ♡

Mini Moments: Brooklyn Bridge

Before the East Coast got pounded with snow, I took a quick weekend trip to New York and had to do the walk over the Brooklyn Bridge. (New York really is a concrete jungle, huh?)  After our little stroll, we hit the infamous Grimaldi’s Pizzaria and it was – bold statement – the best pizza I’ve ever had.

Just sayin’.

aaand because I have to: Empire State today.

Now we in Newwwwwww Yorkkkk <3
